Ch ch ch changes…
The biggest change? I moved office locations at the end of August, 2014. Now, my private practice rents office space from the Process Therapy Institute (aka PTI) in Campbell, California. Since they moved from Los Gatos to Campbell, I chose to move too in order to continue my participation in the loving, supportive community that PTI has developed over the years. I find that having my practice within a community of MFTs who are striving to improve themselves and who are actively engaging in professional relationships (including all the potential challenges, struggles, and contentions that naturally occur among humans) provides me with significant loving support, consultation opportunities, and a sense of connectivity that enhances the quality of my work with clients.
I trained in the Process Therapy Mirror Training Program while I was a registered MFT intern. I found the training to be one of the best investments of time and money, focus and energy I have ever made. The Mirror Training Program is PTI’s short term, low fee program for clients who are seeking therapeutic support at a much lower fee than usual. It is a truly win-win program. The intern therapist wins by working with you for 10 weeks while they receive real-time support and suggestions from their licensed supervisor (who is located behind a one-way mirror window observing, recording, and providing input through the session) through a small transmitter the intern wears. The sessions are recorded for the intern to view/listen to so they can better learn how to improve the quality of their therapeutic technique. After the intern gathers the information they need from the recording, the recording is destroyed to protect confidentiality. You, the client wins by getting very reasonably-priced, high quality therapy sessions with an intern therapist who is receiving helpful real-time guidance through a team of other training intern therapists and the licensed supervisor. Needless to say, if you or someone you know is seeking psychotherapeutic support and cannot afford typical therapist fees, check out PTI’s Mirror Training Program. The website for PTI is www.processes.org.
AND, if you or someone you know is seeking long (or short) term psychotherapy with a licensed marriage family therapist and you think I might be the right therapist for you (or someone you know), contact me via email through this website or just give me a call at (408) 601-0937. I look forward to working with you!
